Essie's 'A Cut Above'.

More Essie Goodness!
Glitter, Glitter, Glitter!!

Now, this bad boy is not available in Ireland just yet, my dear mother bought it for me on Amazon or Ebay or somewhere like that! And it is amazingggggg!!!!!

A lovely follower of mine, Kayrn from Dubai, suggested that I check this nail varnish out. She felt that I would love this one 'cos I love Essie varnishes in general! And boy was she right! I love this puppy. A pinky/cranberry glittered varnish from Essie's LuxEffects aRange, a new range to their brand! Wowsers! It has some serious eye catching appeal even without putting it out!
I'm a really bad nail painter! :D

Now it defo needs a couple of coats to get maximum impact from the glitter so using a base coat is a must and I also used a Nail's Inc Nude Varnish 050 to help bring up the glitter and then defo a top coat for more sparkle! I use Sally Hansen base and top coats 'cos I think they are brilliant but I know I am going to invest in some Essie treatments too! I just need the muhla!! :D
Another bad nail painting job! :D

I am defo going to be obsessing over this for the Autumn/Winter, I love glitter in general in the Winter months!

What do you guys think? Amazing right??
Hope you likey...!

Essie's Penny Talk.

Essie is fast becoming my favorite nail varnish company. Loving all their colours, their pigment but not their price. Around €12/€13 and so far I have only found them in two Boots in Ireland, Liffey Valley and Jervis. Defo a brand that is more readily available in the UK and America, and probably cheaper too!
I only have a couple of colours so far, but I am loving the newest one to my collection, 'Penny Talk', a yummy RoseGold metallic colour (obsessing over the rosegold colour at the moment).  Love the finish on my nails and it actually is the quickest drying nail varnish I've ever tried. Maybe that is because it is a metallic finish but whatever it is, I love it.

There are so many different colours on offer from Essie so I know I'll defo be visiting those stands again. Dare I say that I will be pledging on my future nail varnish buying to Essie and Essie alone?? Never say never but at this stage I can't imagine buying a crappy cheap nail varnish again. You really do get what you pay for with Essie!

Has anyone else tried Essie nail varnishes?? Or is it too expensive of a brand for you? What are your thoughts?? Let me know in the comments below??

May Favourites! :)

May Favourites time!!
There is soooo much makeup that I'm loving at the moment, but in particular I'm stuck in a Mac addiction at the moment!! Pretty much everything from Mac is amazing but just I'll just share with you a few selected bits that I'm loving!

Okay, so generally my WHOOOOOLE eyeshadow palette is in the "LOVE" section! Great range of colours for day and night in this palette, from mattes to shimmers to (one) glitter. To name a few, 'Patina', 'Satin Taupe', 'All That Glitters', 'Naked Lunch' and my personal favourite at the moment 'Expensive Pink'. There's many more but there just a few I'm loving.

Lipsticks, there is two at the moment 'Shy Girl', a peach nude cremesheen, LOVE IT! and a matte, orange-toned red, 'Lady Danger', use this with Mac's "Redd" lipliner. Taking full advantage of Mac's 'Back-to-Mac' scheme this month! :)

Mac's PaintPot 'Groundwork', beautiful taupe-y brown, great primer base for a smokey eye or just to use on it's own.

Ardell's Wispy lashes, lashes are essential for a night out! These are perfect, mostly sold in Salon Services or Boots.

My favourite concealor, Collection 2000 Perfect Concealor.

Clinque's 'High Impact' mascara. Got this as a gift when I bought something else, love it, Worth buying the full size so I defo will be purchasing! :)

Two Mac Blushes. 'Harmony', matte, perfect for contouring the cheeks and temples. Another taupe-y brown colour, very subtle, on the cheeks. Next is 'Springsheen', a loooong time favourite of mine, pretty sure this was the first blush I've every bought from Mac, pink toned with flecks of gold through it, perfect for summer! :)
Another blush, Becca's cream blush in 'Watermelon'. Quite a dark redy/pink for my skintone but perfect when used in moderation!

Revlon's PhotoReady foundation, have been trying it out lately, and it's good so far! Review to come soon!

Last but not least...Essie's 'Mint Candy Apple' nail varnish. Essie's most popular nail varnish this summer, they can't keep it in stock in England, can't believe I actually found some! :)

Thanks for reading! :)
