Essie's 'A Cut Above'.

More Essie Goodness!
Glitter, Glitter, Glitter!!

Now, this bad boy is not available in Ireland just yet, my dear mother bought it for me on Amazon or Ebay or somewhere like that! And it is amazingggggg!!!!!

A lovely follower of mine, Kayrn from Dubai, suggested that I check this nail varnish out. She felt that I would love this one 'cos I love Essie varnishes in general! And boy was she right! I love this puppy. A pinky/cranberry glittered varnish from Essie's LuxEffects aRange, a new range to their brand! Wowsers! It has some serious eye catching appeal even without putting it out!
I'm a really bad nail painter! :D

Now it defo needs a couple of coats to get maximum impact from the glitter so using a base coat is a must and I also used a Nail's Inc Nude Varnish 050 to help bring up the glitter and then defo a top coat for more sparkle! I use Sally Hansen base and top coats 'cos I think they are brilliant but I know I am going to invest in some Essie treatments too! I just need the muhla!! :D
Another bad nail painting job! :D

I am defo going to be obsessing over this for the Autumn/Winter, I love glitter in general in the Winter months!

What do you guys think? Amazing right??
Hope you likey...!

                     NEW COLLECTION AT INGLOT COSMETICS!!!

So, I've been working at Inglot in Dundrum for over a year now and I love the times that we bring out new products. This months new collection is looking super cool with nail varnishes, Sleek Creams, Face Blushes, Freedom Shadows and Face & Body Bronzers! This is definently the biggest collection we've brought out since I've started in Inglot.

12 Nail Varnishes,
10 Sleek Cream Lipglosses,
2 Face & Body Bronzers,
5 Freedom Shadows,
7 Face Blushes.

Freedom Shadows.
Just as the collection name sounds, the colours are super bright with lots of pinks, peaches and nudes in the collection. And, for me, when it comes to lips, nails and blushes, I like me some bright colours. This weekend is going to be super exciting, have lots of new colours to play around with on clients. Defo worth a drop in to have a look at the colours.
Pick up a freedom shadow palette, all colours of your own choice, starting at 2 for just €18. It' the best way to have all your favourite and most useable colours all in one palette, and is defo a MakeUp Artist's Dream.
Face & Body Bronzers.
This collection is perfect for brightening up this rainy days that we are having in Ireland lately. And they are very affordable products, so even better!! :)

Essie's Penny Talk.

Essie is fast becoming my favorite nail varnish company. Loving all their colours, their pigment but not their price. Around €12/€13 and so far I have only found them in two Boots in Ireland, Liffey Valley and Jervis. Defo a brand that is more readily available in the UK and America, and probably cheaper too!
I only have a couple of colours so far, but I am loving the newest one to my collection, 'Penny Talk', a yummy RoseGold metallic colour (obsessing over the rosegold colour at the moment).  Love the finish on my nails and it actually is the quickest drying nail varnish I've ever tried. Maybe that is because it is a metallic finish but whatever it is, I love it.

There are so many different colours on offer from Essie so I know I'll defo be visiting those stands again. Dare I say that I will be pledging on my future nail varnish buying to Essie and Essie alone?? Never say never but at this stage I can't imagine buying a crappy cheap nail varnish again. You really do get what you pay for with Essie!

Has anyone else tried Essie nail varnishes?? Or is it too expensive of a brand for you? What are your thoughts?? Let me know in the comments below??

Magic Nail Varnish Remover from Bourjois!

First thing I'm going to say about this is....if you see one, BUY IT!!! These things are soooo hard to find nowadays due to there extreme popularity in the blogsphere and the world in general!!!

Ever hate removing your nail varnish??? Here's the solution....
Bourjois Magic Remover
Boujois's 'Magic Nail Varnish Remover'. Now I've had this product for a couple of weeks now, but I'm only getting around to telling you about it now, my bad, sorry! This thing is really magic and has been flying off the shelves since it came out. Instead of you normal 'remover pads' or 'liquid varnish remover', this one is simply a sponge in a jar, weird right?? But, the sponge is steeped in nail varnish remover, all you have to do is dip your finger nail in, twist and remover and the varnish is gone.

Bourjois maintain that it is a '1 Second' job but thats not true, more like 5 seconds in my opinion but it really does remove the varnish instantly, without the need for tissue or cotton wool. It does leave a sticky, wet feeling on your nails because it has coated them in almond oil that is suppose to nourish your nails, but to be honest I end up washing this off cos I don't like the feeling but thats just a small thing....

The smell however is substantially stronger than your normal remover and the lid is kinda hard to twist off, but these are minor things. It literally does take a couple of seconds to remove all your nail varnish and in my book thats what I want, I HATE doing my nails so the quicker its done the better.

Also retails around 6/8euro I think and is lasting a long time (I've only had the one bottle). Perfect for me and everyone else who hates removing nail varnish!!!

MaxFactor Mini's!!

Nail Time!!
So, I recently got this MaxFactor 'Max Effect Mini' Nail Varnishes. Such tiny cute little bottles, and let's be honest, a much more realistic size nail varnish 'cos you would definately be able to get through a nail polish this size!!

My first thoughts were that you would defo need like 4 coats of polish to make this colours look half decent on the nails, but oh how I was wrong. Fantasticly pigmented, you most certainly would get away with one coat, but I also do two coats to help avoid chipping!
I bought 4! And I believe they were €4.95 (but don't hold me to that). I got a good, varied choice of colours, ones that I know I would defo use again and again.

First up, Top leftl; no.14, 'Dazzling Blue'. Probably the least pigmented of the four that I bought, so two coats are defo needed but I actually really like the colour. Probably not something that I would wear just on it's own over all my nails but I like the 'skittle' effect with this colour thrown in. *Skittle effect is just what I call wearing loads of different nail varnishes at the one time. No chipping as of yet.

Next, Top Right; no.11, 'Red Carpeet Glam'. Quite a bright reddy/orange, really nice colour and great pigment but again I probably would be sick of it if I wore it all over my nails. So far this colour is chipping the worst on my nails.

Next, Bottom Left; no. 08, 'Diva Violet'. Loving this colour. I actually have something quite similar from Inglot, no.708 so I know I like the colour. Defo would wear this all over my nails and is wearing well. Slightly fading on one nail but no chipping as of yet.

Last, Bottom Right; no.12, 'Diva Pink'. My favourite colour of the four. Really, heavily pigmented and looks great on my nails. Quite a strong pink but really suits even my pale skin. No chipping as of yet and I am really loving the colour.

I've painted all my nails different colours 'cos I really couldn't decide which one I wanted to use and I am loving the effect, its looking very 'circus-y' and while I don't like the circus, I do like my nails, even if I am the world's worst nail painter! :D

Right to left: 'Diva Violet', 'Diva Pink', 'Dazzling Blue', 'Red Carpet Glam'.

So, all-in-all, loving these varnishes. Great size bottle, good price, easy to find, great pigment. If only they would come up with less boring names for the varnishes everything would perfect. They also have a huge range of colours so go find yours!! :)

Thanks for reading...
